Associate Professor Diane Kenwright

Diane joined the University of Otago, Wellington in 1996 as a joint clinical appointment in the Department of Pathology after training in Wellington Hospital as a registrar. In 2008 she moved to UOW’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, where she was also chair of the Trainee Interns Conveners Board and convener for the Department’s Trainee Intern programme.

Diane’s main areas of interest are gynecological pathology, breast pathology and eye pathology. She has developed valuable research findings in obstetrics and gynecology, including improvements in the diagnosis of cervical dysplasia.

One of her key visions for the Pathology Department is the development of a new interactive pathology learning centre where students, staff and public interested in pathology can learn about disease development, diagnosis and treatment.
