Courtney Moore

Senior Canine Trainer

Courtney Moore is K9MD’s Senior Canine Trainer. Courtney has extensive experience in canine scent detection. Previously working on the front-line as a Biosecurity Detector Dog handler for the New Zealand Government and private industry abroad, Courtney brings a wealth of practical experience working Detector Dogs. Courtney then became a Trainer of the Biosecurity Detector Dog Teams and was responsible for the training and development of operational Detector Dog handlers and their dogs in a variety of work areas, including the screening of International passengers, baggage, mail, cruise ships and cargo.

Courtney has also worked as a Detector Dog Trainer within Aviation Security in the Explosive Detector Dog Unit. With this extensive technical knowledge and experience Courtney will lead K9MD’s Bowel Cancer Trial working with German Shepherd Levi and German Shepherd Weta.
