CRC advisory board

The K9 Medical Detection NZ Chief Executive recently invited a group of external experts to form an advisory board to the K9MD Board of Trustees to provide strategic advice on how to progress bringing the urine test for colorectal cancer to market. This group is providing input on long term goals and direction for this test. The urine test will need to be compared to the current gold standard used for detecting faecal occult blood such as that used in New Zealand in the current Bowel screening programme.

The members of this advisory board are: Professor Sarah Young (cancer immunologist and Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic at the University of Auckland), Professor Tim Eglington (colorectal and general surgeon and Head of Department of Surgery and Critical Care at the University of Otago, Christchurch), Dr Vanessa Cave (biostatistician), Peter Huskinson (Chief Executive, Bowel  Cancer NZ), Dr Michelle McConnell (K9MD research project manager) with Pauline Blomfield (Chief Executive, K9MD).
