Hunter

K9MD Hunter (Pulse von Heisenberg) has joined our canine team. Genetically selected and another well bred German shepherd from New Zealand's top working-line breeder, Heisenberg Kennels.

Hunter has been designated as New Zealand's first ovarian cancer detection dog.  He is everything we look for in our dogs;  bold, confident, happy with a well balanced temperament, and of course a good-looking dog. 

Hunter is successfully detecting Ovarian cancer at low concentrations and has completed his proof of concept validation with a success of 96% sensitivity (detecting all samples with cancer) and 100% specificity (ignoring all those without cancer). We know Hunter will become a top medical detection dog.

Hunter lives on a farm with K9MD's Founder, Levi and Weta.
