K9MD LEVI and K9MD WETA are successfully detecting bowel cancer in patient urine samples. This is a world first and a major development for the early detection of bowel cancer in New Zealand. It's early days yet with lots more research to be done, but we wanted to share this success with you to give hope for so many New Zealanders.

June is bowel cancer awareness month. New Zealand has one of the highest incidences of bowel cancer in the world. During June alone 250 kiwis will be diagnosed with cancer and 100 of us will die from bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is the second highest cause of cancer death in New Zealand, second only to lung cancer.
